If you were to ask 100 of the wealthiest people in America how they achieved that wealth you would find that virtually all of them claim they have found their "perfect pitch."

W. Randal Jones:
They've found the thing that they were hard-wired to do and discovered a way to commercialize it.

Randal Jones, Founder of Worth Magazine, interviewed 100 of America's wealthiest people for his book The Richest Man in Town and he says finding your perfect pitch is a critical element to being successful.

Harvey Peavey of Peavey Electronics is one such example. He wanted desperately to be a rock n roll guitar star, and after seeing Bo Diddley play in the late 50's said, "I've got to be that good." And he tried but it wasn't his perfect pitch, however along the way he realized that he was good at building things. So he learned to build amplifiers to make good guitar players sound even better. So he was able to marry what was his perfect pitch with one of his great passions and consequently he's got a half a billion dollar privately owned company.

Another trait of the truly wealthy is that they're addicted to ambition…

They're never truly satisfied because they're such questers and such doers - they are action addicts. But if you've got to be addicted to something it may as well be to ambition, right?
