You know those fabric softener sheets you put in the dryer? They're good for other things too.

Tom McNulty:
I put them under the seats in my car, in the trunk, under my bed sheets when I change the bed…

Put them in your athletic shoes between workouts and they just minimize the moisture and add a very fresh nice aroma to everything.

If you do laundry you know the dangers of chlorine bleach.

I've come up with many pairs of really nice jeans that I liked with big white splotches in them so I stay away from chlorine bleach. I just use Oxyclean (which is oxygen bleach); it does the same thing - it whitens and brightens but without the dangers of chlorine bleach.

And Tom believes anyone who is serious about cleaning needs a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

You just moisten it and it goes to town on floor scuffs, marks on the wall - we just came out of spring cleaning season and I cleaned my entire set of patio furniture with one Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

This isn't a cleaning tip necessarily but if you have dull scissors around the house you can sharpen those scissors by cutting sandpaper with them.

You'd think you'd dull the heck out of them but no you cut sandpaper two or three times and then your scissors are all sharpened again - then cut a piece of paper right after that and you'll see.
