Mike Carruthers:
What if you could prevent cancer? There are no guarantees, of course, but we are discovering more and more about what helps.

Dr. David Servan-Schreiber:
The world health organization has shown that you would reduce the world cancer burden by 40% with only a better diet and a bit more physical activity – just that.

A recent study in China found that women, who ate mushrooms several times a week and drank three cups of green tea per day, reduced their risk by 89%, 89%!

We know that lifestyle plays a huge roll to whether or not you get cancer.

If you live in Japan as a man in your 60tys you’re very likely to have prostate cancer cells in your prostate. But it will never become an illness because of your lifestyle. If you moved to live in Hawaii or California then you’re going to have the same risk of prostate cancer as Americans have.

Dr. Servan-Schreiber who battled and beat brain cancer says there’s good news even if you’re diagnosed with cancer.

A study was just published in 2008 showed that women who had breast cancer and went through full treatment if they learned how to change how they eat, have more physical activity, learn how to manage stress differently they had a 68% reduction in mortality compared to the women who just went through the treatment as usual.
