Daphne Rose Kingma, author of the book The Ten Things to Do When Your Life Falls Apart, says for people who’ve been struggling one of the best first things you can do is….
Cry your heart out. We live in a culture that has really deprived us of our tears, it’s like we’re supposed to get through everything but we’re not supposed to feel how tough it is. And the importance of crying is that it really restores the bodies equilibrium and allows us to go on with what ever we may need to do.
When we face tough times in the past we managed to get through them.
Each of us has the power what I call a signature strength. And that’s something that has always carried you through hard times. It’s your ingenuity or your endurance or your hardworking ness and so when you remember that you have this resource you become able to face the difficulty at hand.
Each of us has or knows someone who has struggled during this recession.
The truth is that it’s up to you whether something of value comes out of this crisis. And even in the direst circumstances we have choices to make.
