To make your rich better, richer, and more fulfilling what would it take?

Debra Ford:
The one thing everybody always wants more of is courage and confidence. And what stops everybody is fear.

Debra Ford

Debra Ford, author of the book Courage, says a common fear for many people is to worry about what’s going to go wrong next
.

You know watch out, what’s going to happen, or don’t get too big for your britches. You a lot of us did great as children and all of a sudden we’re singing and dancing and somebody comes along and shames us and so this is a natural fear.

Life will always throw challenges at you and Debra says being fearful of them is counterproductive. Facing those challenges with courage empowers you.

And I can tell you because I wrote this book while I was lying in bed for a year fighting off cancer. So I do understand wanting to give up and thinking, “Oh my god I don’t deserve this”. And courage is a muscle that must be developed and worked out and when we trust that there is a universal gift in everything then we don’t have to stay stuck in fear.

Debra says it all boils down to how you want to live.

All of us are here to live a significant life and when we understand that and we know that then we’re willing to look beyond our fear.
