What they’ve discovered in the last 5 or 6 years is that the left and the right side of the brain begin to work together in midlife in ways that they never did before.

Mark Walton, author of the book Boundless Potential...

That our creative piece and our knowledge piece (or rational piece) begins to operate in 4 wheel drive if you will - and what this makes possible is the triggering or unleashing of creative capabilities that we had no idea that we had.

You then have to figure out what to do with that creativity but you may already have the answer if you look inside.

And I call it fascination, Joseph Campbell called it follow your bliss. At the basis of all peak performance is really an individual’s fascination.  That which really drives us (which lights us up) is that which makes us successful.

When you engage in this kind of thinking, Mark says it can be very motivating.

It’s very much like beginning all over again and that by beginning all over again we can reach a new level. And what I’ve found in the people that I’ve studied is that the levels of success that they have reached have been absolutely amazing – things that they never would have dreamed that they are capable of.
