Peter Moore, Editor of Men’s Health Magazine which has an article about some of our bathroom rituals like showering.
Key advice here is that we take showers too often. For those of you who need to shower everyday just make sure you don’t have the water too hot so we want to dial back on the heat that’s going to preserve the oils in your skin that’s what this is all about. And keep your showers short.
In a public bathroom if you have a choice between paper towels or a blow dryer you should use the paper towels - because when you use the dryer…
You’re blowing bacteria laden air so we came across a study for this article saying that the amount of bacteria can increase on your hands if you use a blow dryer by up to 45%.
When you get a cut or wound it’s very common to run to the bathroom and pour hydrogen peroxide on it – bad idea.
What you’re doing is essentially pouring bleach on the wound and what it’s doing is further damaging skin that’s already damaged by a wound. So we’re going to leave the hydrogen peroxide out of the equation soap and water again is the best way to clean that wound. Any petroleum based cream a bandage – the best way to go. |
