Mike Carruthers:
With very little effort you can improve the nutrition of the meals you and your family eat.

Wendy Bazilian:
For example right in your cupboard are some of the most concentrated sources of antioxidants around - things like cinnamon, ginger, yellow curry and oregano.

One teaspoon of cinnamon for example has as many antioxidants as a half a cup of blueberries. It's pretty shocking when people hear that. Oregano's a great one too - I call it a mini salad because one half teaspoon has as many antioxidants as three cups of spinach.

Wendy says canned pumpkin is an amazingly nutritious food.

Canned pumpkin has a ton of nutritional bang for very low calories, high fiber, tons of antioxidants and it's creamy and rich; you can blend that up in soups and you can even add it to yogurt surprisingly enough. You can mix it in, in a variety of different ways.

And when it comes to your health just a little bit of exercise can mean a lot.

So if you just took a four-minute walk every day or you added three hundred steps to your day it'll add an extra mile to your week without even thinking about it. What does an extra mile do to your waistline and to your health over the course of the year? It can add up to a whole pound's worth of body weight that you either have lost or you don't have to account for in your diet.
