Are you good at dealing with anger? It sort of depends on your definition of anger.

 

John Lee:
Because people use the words anger and rage interchangeably as if they meant the same thing.

But rage is an action or a behavior that actually is a numbing factor to people’s feelings and emotions. Anger expressed appropriately equals energy, intimacy and serenity. Rage is always going to equal distance, disaster and divorce.

 

Here’s how you know the difference between anger and rage…

 

Anger expressed about what you said to me this morning that I dislike and made me angry - will only take a few moments to tell you about it and to tell you what I need to happen. Whereas rage is always going to take a long, long time and it’s usually about what you’ve been saying to me every morning for the last 23 years.

 

Rage is uncomfortable, exhausting and often breeds more rage.

 

But my anger will actually clarify and probably bring us closer together because we’re going to remove that thing between us that has happened in present time.
