Mike Carruthers:
What happens when you die? Well Mary Neal who is a doctor and surgeon believes she’d had a glimpse into this question after a kayaking accident left her basically dead. What did she experience?

Dr. Mary Neal:
I was immediately overcome with a very physical sensation of being held and comforted and reassured that everything would be fine - my husband would be fine my 4 young children would be fine.

Dr. Mary Neal

Dr. Neal has revealed her story in a new book called To Heaven and Back and as a doctor…

I knew intellectually that as a doctor I’d been under water too long to be alive but I felt more alive than I’d ever felt. I felt no pain, I felt no panic, I felt no sense of air hunger, I could feel my spirit peeling away from my body and I was immediately greeted by this group of beings, spirits.

Rescuers estimated that she was not breathing for somewhere between 15 and 25 minutes.

That’s too long for the human brain to hang onto oxygen. And this experience did not have the quality of a dream or a hallucination, doesn’t have the ,mempory of those things.

Since Dr. Neal went public with her story…

I have had so many people come to be have their medical appointment and then ask for a few more minutes of time to share with me their own near death or godly experience. They’re all the same everyone says the same thing in terms of the memory of the event, the experience of the event.
