You know it's wonderful to observe children as "no-limit" human beings. We're all born as "no-limit" human beings and children, until unfortunately sometimes we change them, really don't understand the meaning of "no". They just want what they want - it's why they're so crafty around holiday time at getting the gifts that they aspire to. We as human beings - we get beaten down a little bit, we start to believe that "no" is ok.
Daniel says think of the word fear as an acronym.
False Evidence Appearing Real. We make up stuff in our brains that is so much worse than whatever really happens to us in real life - it stops us. What other people are going to say, what other people are going to think. "What if I fail?" Hey, you know what, what if you do fail? Whatever power got us to where we are at this point in our lives is going to get us the rest of the way. You need a little faith - you have to believe in your ability to alter your destiny and to do things for the better.
So, if fear is keeping you from trying something important, remember…
It's ok to be afraid, it's just not ok to let that fear stop you from getting done what needs to be done.
