And by that I mean you go on the job boards to see what positions might be available then you get off the job board, go into your network doing a little research just on Goggle and figuring out who are the people that might be hiring for those positions if it’s not listed.
The best way to get hired is and always has been to know somebody who works in the company where you want to work.
Because it’s at least twice as likely that you will get your resume viewed and actually get an interview if you have someone inside the company that can get your resume in front of that right person.
And being connected to social media sites is becoming increasingly important in any job search.
Whether it’s 85% of recruiters looking what’s on your Facebook, Linkedin profiles but besides that Linkedin in many ways kind of replacing the resume. We’ve seen many companies say they don’t even ask for resumes anymore they can just see what’s going on, on your Linkedin, so make sure you have up to date information on those sites.
