Coincidence
Interview
with Squire Rushnell, author of the book, When
God Winks
|
Mike Carruthers:
What exactly is a coincidence?
Squire
Rushnell:
Well a coincidence is anything that makes you say, "What
are the mathematical odds of that happening?" Or it's the
definition that's in the American Heritage Dictionary, which
is something that happens that seems like an accident but may
or may not be.
Squire
Rushnell, author of the book, When
God Winks…
It is
when you see them in totality that you start realizing that,
that they have some import. In fact if you go back and uncover
every turning point in your life you'll see that there were
little coincidences there or big coincidences. And what I see
them as are signs of reassurance that you're on the right path.
And the wonder thing is it's going to keep on unfolding in the
future if you start paying attention to them.
Call
it coincidence luck or whatever you want, Squire says…
Every
single person that I've talked to who is successful has confirmed
that they indeed had incredible coincidences happening all along
their lives. Whether they were moguls in industry or people
who were successful in their own families in their own marriages.
And attitude
has a lot to do with it.
I believe
that if you perceive yourself as successful all the forces around
you are going to help you get to be successful. If you see yourself
as failing chances are you're going to fulfill that prophecy.
You're going to fulfill that perception you have in your own
head.
