Improve Your I.Q. & Mental Ability Immediately
Interview
with Dr. Frank Lawlis, author of The
I.Q. Answer

Mike
Carruthers:
Are
there things you can do to improve the way your brain works? -
Apparently so…
Dr. Frank Lawlis:
One of the things that I think is really fascinating
is chewing gum. If you just really want to - first of all, relax,
it's a good stress fighter - but also if you want to increase
your memory then chew gum for a while.
Dr. Frank Lawlis,
author of the book The
I.Q Answer and Chief Content Advisor for the Dr. Phil Show,
says no one is exactly sure why gum chewing is so beneficial
but studies have proven that it works. And breathing, he says,
has a lot to do with how well your brain performs.
And we usually
don't breathe very effectively. For example, when you are in
a classroom - this has been demonstrated over and over again
- that when you take a test or you become anxious, you stop
breathing.
So, making sure
you're breathing in a stressful situation will always help you
think better. And how you breathe is also important - Dr. Lawlis
recommends what he calls triangle breathing...
Where you breathe
in and you hold your breath for a couple of counts and then
you breathe out - so, it's you breathe in…and you hold it….
and then you breathe out. This, we've done brain studies on
this, and so what happens to the brain - it kind of optimizes
your thinking power, it helps you concentrate better.
Tomorrow, how
what you eat for breakfast can affect how well your brain performs
all day long - I'm Mike Carruthers and that's Something You
Should Know.
