What Does Somebody Have to do to Get a Job Around Here?, says if you do want
to look for a new job it's best to do it while you're still employed. People
do best who look for work while they're currently employed and are much more likely
to be hired quickly and for more money. Psychologically it makes you look more
appealing. There
is one type of person that almost always gets the job offer… The
type that always gets the offer is the type that the hiring manager perceives
as most like him or herself. As human beings we tend to trust the people that
we feel are most like us. So if you can get out of your "interview bubble"
as I call it and connect with the interviewer, those are the people that tend
to get hired. Answering
trick questions has become a standard part of job interviews. Every
trick question - they're all trying to get you to do one thing, and that's go
negative. So never talk about anything negative in your interview process at all,
even if the interviewer tries to bait you. I tell people you can sail through
all tricks if every story you tell is all positive, has a silver lining and showcases
