Mike
Carruthers:
How
you view money in your life probably has a lot to do with how
your parent's viewed money.
Glenn Smyly:
We watch how our parent's did money and then we make
decisions like, "there's not enough money, I can't afford
to buy that." We tend to limit ourselves in the amount
of money we make to have it be just a little more than our parent's
did.
Glenn Smyly,
author of the book All
In The Name Of Love, and the website
afreemoneymakeover.com says if you want to attract more
money into your life…
First you have
to complete the stand that you don't deserve it - which many,
many of us have and so we don't even go for it.
It's clear, says
Glen, that how you view money determines how much money you
make.
If we're looking
for evidence of scarcity we're going to find it everywhere -
there's poverty in the world. But if we're looking for abundance,
boy it's all around us too - and we have a choice on which one
we go for.
And another interesting
observation you can make about yourself is to notice how you
think about spending money.
We encourage
people to spend their money joyfully, with the belief that every
dollar I circulate comes back to me multiplied. We changed it
to paying the contributions instead of paying the bills. We
contribute to the phone company, we contribute to the electric
company - I don't want to be on a telephone poll at four o'clock
in the morning but I sure like it that somebody else is up there
to repair my phone so I have phone service twenty-four hours
a day. So, I reward them joyfully.
