Mike
Carruthers:
Can't think of anything to do this summer? Well here are some
ideas.
David Silberkleit:
Study clouds at night. Watch them glide past the moon, backlit
by the perfect wattage.
David Silberkleit,
author of the book, A
New Adventure Every Day.
As clouds of
varying thickness pass in front of the moon, you'll discover
a new array of colors and moonlit cloud canyons only visible
at night.
David believes
there are plenty of no-cost fun adventures right in your own
backyard, even in your bedroom.
Turn the sheets
around on your bed and sleep with your head on the opposite
side. Switch places with your spouse…sleep in a different room.
And I find that such changes cause me to dream more vividly
and, in general making a change to an old routine is where you
find something new in your everyday life.
One simple way
to increase your chances of finding new adventures is:
Stop waiting
for other people to say hello first. Greet everyone in your
path with no attachment to whether he or she notices or not.
When you open yourself up with a greeting, you invite adventure
into your life.
And one more
easy adventure…
Buy the one thing
for your office that your parents would never allow in your
childhood bedroom. If you always wanted a turtle with its own
plastic palm tree or a slot car track, buy one. Be a child at
your office and you'll be more available for adventures that
come your way.
