How Attitude Determines Success
Interview
with Carol Quinn author of Have
The Attitude!

Mike Carruthers:
When it comes to achieving a goal, it just may be that attitude
is everything.
Carol Quinn:
Our attitude really is a reflection of, if we think we
can do something and we really believe this, we actually put
effort into proving ourselves right.
Carol Quinn, author of the book, Have
the Attitude!
Someone who doesn't think it's possible probably
doesn't try very hard or doesn't try at all and it also does
the same thing to prove their thinking right.
For instance, Carol says a lot of people
will say, "I could never afford to buy a house," or"
I'll never get that job" without even looking into it.
It's their attitude that stops them before they start.
And it's those people who believe it's possible
that will say "Okay, HOW can we do this? How can we find
a solution to buy the house? Maybe there's something we don't
know. How do we make it happen?" And in order to have that
thinking, you have to believe it's possible.
What you want to achieve may not be possible,
but Carol's point is that a lot of people defeat themselves
before they start because they have the attitude that it's impossible.
I'll give you an example: in the fifties, before we ever
put a man on the moon, it had been impossible. So if we take
a look at our thinking and see everything we believe to be impossible
as actually being impossible, we'd never achieve those great
things that are achieved.
