Answers To Strange Questions Interview
with Bill Sones, co-author of the book, Can
A Guy Get Pregnant?
| Mike
Carruthers: Sometimes dogs appear to be really watching television-
do they? Bill
Sones: Yes, they do-that was tested by skeptic James Randy a scientist.
He had heard about this poodle named Terror that was a TV watcher and he doubted
it. Bill Sones,
co-author of the book,
Can A Guy Get Pregnant? says James Randy brought the dog in to do some experiments. First
he started out with some non-canine videos, no interest. Then he started showing
Terror some Lassie videos and then Terror started barking. So, then he tried some
cats in videos and Terror went berserk- cartoons he wasn't interested in, nature
shows he would watch for up to an hour. So,
the conclusion dogs do watch TV. And speaking of dogs Bill says it's not true
that one dog year equals seven human years. A
good rule is the "15" "10" "3" rule. The first dog
year is about 15 years for a human the second one 10 years and then like 3 from
there on. In human
relationships you can find plenty of examples of opposites attracting but Bill
says statistically… People
are going to pair up very similar age, similar health and even height, attractiveness
is another one- though in general it's really similars that attract and that grow
to like each other and stay together for a long time.
