Mike Carruthers:
When we meet new people, we often worry about rejection however…
Laura
Day:
When people make contact in a caring and respectful manner that
contact rarely goes awry. It’s learning how to make contact
that way.
Laura Day
author of the book, Practical
Intuition in love…
And that’s
where intuition comes in. It’s being able to read someone else’s
signals in a way that your signals are in harmony with them.
And, it’s easy to learn because it’s a natural desire to make
contact and create pleasurable contact.
The focus in connecting
says Laura needs to be on creating pleasure in the situation
and in the other person.
Very
rarely do any of us, consciously at least, want to be hurt.
We want to experience pleasure. As animals, that’s what we do.
And,
whereas, with a piece of broccoli you’ll put a sauce on it so
you can eat it pleasurably or some spices, if you don’t like
broccoli, we don’t do that with love. We think we have to pound
ourselves into a certain form or be a certain way or work, work,
work and that does not create love.
Love
is created through the sharing of pleasure.
So, where do we begin?
One of
the simplest things that people can do is just say good morning
to the people you meet. We’re human beings. We want to make
connection. Make connection, and you don’t know the next person
you make connection with may be "The One."
